Pastor Greg was born in Hagerstown, Maryland and has been a member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) his entire life. He is considered a “second-career” Minister; earning his Master of Divinity degree from Lexington Theological Seminary. He is recognized as having “standing” with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Pastor Greg’s life experience enhances his ministry to all ages. He started a business at 20 years of age, after earning a Horticulture degree and a Business degree. After being self-employed for 18 years, he was "called" into vocational ministry, and accepted into into Seminary. He was a divorcee, and is now married to Pastor Debbie Ott. Between the two, they have 5 adult children and 2 grandchildren. Life is busy with two ministers serving different congregations. Debbie and Greg are co-founders of the well watered soul ~ a virtual non-profit mental heath corporation. They enjoy gardening, working in their greenhouse, and working together to see what new things they can create with God's help.

Pastor Greg's “call” into ministry was affirmed at the closing worship service during a week-long church camp with teenagers. Entering Seminary at 37 years of age, Pastor Greg is considered to be a “second-career” minister. He is very active in ecumenical relationships and ministries with other Christian and Faith organizations; understanding that reconciling with God, through Jesus Christ is not limited to one denomination or faith tradition. He is passionate about justice issues, mental health awareness and struggles. He embraces Outreach and Mission work throughout the local community, as well as around the world.

(Personal note: I have a personal commitment to reach out to those who have been hurt by the Church ~ any Church. If you are one of those who has been brushed-off or pushed aside, I would love to connect with you and see how God is active in your life. Together, one day at a time, walking in the Light of God with Jesus by our side, we can make this world  a better place for all of God's Creation. May Peace and Grace be with you, Pastor Greg)
